The Resume

This first email caught me off guard, mostly because the guy looked strikingly like Rick Moranis, but as I read his email, I couldn't help but feel like it had the all-too-familiar self-touting of a resume cover letter. Love is in the air...

I recently had the opportunity to read your profile and I was incredibly impressed with what you wrote!

A little bit about myself.

I am a strong believer in education and learning. In 2001, I obtained my BBA in Finance and Marketing. In 2003, I obtained an MBA. For the past several years I have worked in the Medical Center and I absolutely love it. I work in finance and health care administration and I am fortunate to have a wonderful career. In my role, I work with the administrative and financial aspects of health care research.

Last year, I started my Masters in Healthcare Administration (pursuing the degree part time). It has been a wonderful experience as I am obtaining the theoretical basis of healthcare in the United States.

When I am not working or going to school, I enjoy exercising and reading. I am an avid fan of current affairs publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Foreign Affairs, and the New York Times. I also enjoy reading GQ Magazine and Vanity Fair.

Shopping is another hobby of mine. What is so wonderful about (city) is that we have so many amazing shopping venues. MPenner the best! Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus are wonderful as well (although I don’t go as often as I would like).

While I am far from perfect, I think I have many of the attributes that your are seeking.
